The City of Kingfisher’s Public Safety Team is comprised of the following departments: Community Development, Emergency Management, and Police Department.
Community Development
Jon Friesen is the Community Development Director and Building Inspector.
Jon’s office is at City Hall, and he can be reached at (405) 375-3705 or jfriesen@kingfisher.org for any building, code, or nuisance abatement issues. Code Enforcement, all new construction, renovation or remodeling concerns or questions are handled by Jon.
Jeff Townsend is the Code Enforcement Officer and can be reached at 405-375-3705 and responds to the Code Enforcement Complaint Form
Emergency Management
Steve Loftis serves as the Emergency Management Director for both the City of Kingfisher and Kingfisher County. His office is located at the Kingfisher County Courthouse complex. Steve can be reached at (405) 375-5662 or via email.
Fire/EMS
The Kingfisher Fire/EMS Department provides fire protection services for the City of Kingfisher as well as mutual aid to surrounding areas. The Department also provides EMS service within the 522 Ambulance District with Emergency Medical Technicians, Advanced Emergency Medical Technicians, and Paramedics.
The Department provides outreach training to the community and educational programs to Kingfisher Public Schools.

Police Department
The Kingfisher Police Department is located at 102 W. Coronado in Kingfisher. The department provides quality protection and services to the community as well as mutual aid to surrounding areas. Under the leadership of Chief David Catron, the department patrols Kingfisher, provides outreach training, and protects the general public.
