As you may already know, the chamber sponsors many events each year.  Some are organized and hosted entirely by the chamber. We help with our participation and financial contributions in others.  We do this because we believe these events and attractions enhance the quality of life for our community and make it a better place to live, raise families and earn a living. It also attracts new people and businesses who want to be a part of a community like Kingfisher. 

Events, however, are only a part of what we do.  Economic growth and development is always a top priority and we continue to be an active member of the Greater Oklahoma Regional Partnership for economic development. The daily requests for information  on events, business referrals, rental property, real estate, relocation packets, phone numbers, Welcome Bags, tourism  and various other topics keep our office humming. We are  the phone contact for Kingfisher in Lights, Leadership Kingfisher County and Kingfisher Trails. I represent the chamber on various local committees and boards.

The Schapiro Group did a recent study on the real value of joining a local chamber of commerce.  The report states “When consumers know that a small business is a member of the chamber of commerce, they are 44% more likely to think favorably of it and 63% more likely to purchase goods or services from the company in the future”. We have long believed that when a business is active in its local chamber, it is doing the right thing not only for the community but for its own success as well.
